How do you get rid of cold sores QUICK?

I got this cold sore last week and it's still here!! it's not that big and not too small, but the appearance is visible and can be seen pretty well and it does not look like anything from google images either! BUT I DESPERATELY WANT IT GONNE ): i have grad photos tomorrow, and is there anyway to make it go away, i really don't want my grad photo to bad!! Please help!! I put on some herb minty cream on it, and i don't see any differences!!
