My throat hurts really really bad, hurts to swallow, hurts to breathe?

My throats been hurting really bad and it just started today, i had minor discomfort but no pain yesterday. I drank water all day thinking my throat was just dry, it didn't help. i tried gum to see if the minty flavor would help some but it didn't. I dont know if it could be strep, ive had my tonsils taken out for a few years, im 15. I had to have them taken out because everytime i would get strep it was so painful, so they took them out. This feels like one of those times before i got my tonsils taken out and the pain is so bad. So can anyone please help?
