How to "cold wave" my hair?

here's what i do. lets say i want my hair to be way on July 2nd. i wear braids all day on July 1st, and i also sleep in them the night of July 1st. then, when July 2nd comes, i take the braids out and voila! wavy hair! (by the way, when you put your hair in the braids, your hair doesn't have to be wet. i just do it when my hair is dry.) if you don't want to do it the way i just told you, you can buy a hair-waving iron at Ulta for about $30. hope i provided some assistance!
